Hometown Christmas Parade

Join us as we light up the night, when the Chamber's Christmas Parade presented by Radney Funeral Home winds its way through the streets of Alexander City the first Monday of December. Spectators are invited to line the parade route to watch bands and dancers perform, see the festively decorated floats, and wait for the much anticipated arrival of Jolly Old St. Nick himself.

Parade Route: The parade will line up on Comer Street. It will proceed down Cherokee towards Benjamin Russell High School. Once past BRHS, the parade will turn up Church Street and head for the round-a-bout. Once in the round-a-bout, the parade will turn east onto AL 22 (Tallapoosa Street) and proceed to the bottom of the hill to the official end of the parade.

Jessie Lynn received her Master’s degree from Auburn University in May of 2018! She continues to refine her own musical style by working with her producer, her vocal coach, Jilla Webb, and various musicians, singers, and songwriters! 3rd Saturday Trash Cleanup

Community volunteers meet on the THIRD SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH to clean area roadsides. Volunteers meet at Broad Street Plaza in downtown Alex City (in front of Jake's/Anytime Fitness) at 8:30 am to receive trash picking supplies including pickers and bags as well as direction on focus areas for that month's clean up. We have quarterly "off-site" cleanups where we meet at an alternate location to focus on specific parts of town.

Friday On The Green at Russell Crossroads- Russell Craig

Russell Craig is a musician from Dothan. He recorded his first studio album titled “Call Me the Rain” in 2014 and in 2016 Russell was the opening act for the Charlie Daniels Band at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center. He was born with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a progressive disease that eventually causes total blindness. His goal in life is to help people with disabilities realize their worth and reach their true potential. Russell is currently pursuing his bachelors in rehabilitation and disability studies from Auburn University. Grab your comfy stuff and join us for Russell Craig on the Green Stage. Derby Day at The Stables

Join us May 4th, at The Stables at Russell Crossroads as we watch the Run For the Roses from Churchill Downs. We’ll have a few eats and drinks – including Mint Juleps. Derby Day is always a lot of fun – we hold a Hat Contest for the ladies and a most Dapper Contest for the guys!
